Nottingham Indoor Bowls Club – Dress Code
- When playing bowls all participants should wear flat, smooth soled bowls shoes – bowling manufactured shoes purchased from a bowls retailer.
Dress for leagues and club competitions shall be any of the following:
Above the waist:
- White shirt.
- Regulation bowls shirt obtained from a bowls retailer.
- Club shirt.
Below the waist:
- Grey/black trousers, shorts or skirt.
- Regulation bowls trousers or shorts obtained from a bowls retailer.
- Club trousers or shorts.
1a. Dress code for national competitions as per the dress code of the EIBA.
- For all casual bowling which includes The Mushroom, members and non -members can wear smart casual dress. Both in the summer and the winter casual dress can include comfortable summer tops and smart trousers, skirts or shorts.
- If there is a league on during a particular time session and there are empty rinks available for casual bowling, then members and non-members can wear casual dress on the casual bowling rinks only.
- Beginners who are not sure if they want to take up bowls or join the Club may wear normal clothing and stockinged feet for a short period.
- For some matches for which you will be notified white trousers/skirts must be worn.
- The following are not allowed – jeans with holes in, leggings and track suits.
- Bowls shoes must not be worn outside the building in order to protect the bowls carpet.
DRESS CODE WILL BE MONITORED AT ALL TIMES.
